Animate Your Data - Richann Watson, DataRich Consulting

When reporting your safety data, do you ever feel sorry for the person who has to read all the laboratory listings and summaries? Or have you ever wondered if there is a better way to visualize safety data? Let’s use animation to help the reviewer and to reveal patterns in your safety data, or in any data!

This presentation demonstrates how you can use animation in SAS® 9.4 to report your safety data, using techniques such as visualizing a patient’s laboratory results, vital sign results, and electrocardiogram results and seeing how those safety results change over time. In addition, you will learn how to animate adverse events over time, and how to show the relationships between adverse events and laboratory results using animation.

Polish SAS Users Group                                                 Wednesday, June 23, 2021 12:00 - 1:20 PM ET  Topic: A Close Look at How DOSUBL Handles Macro Variable Scope by Quentin McMullen

The talk will be given in English by Quentin McMullen, Chair of the Boston Area SAS Users Group (BASUG) Abstract: The macro variable scoping rules of the SAS macro language are complex, and well-documented. The DOSUBL function, introduced in SAS 9.3M2, adds an additional layer of complexity to these scoping rules, as the macro programmer needs to understand how code executing in the DOSUBL side-session will create or update macro variables, and what impact this will have on macro variables stored in the main session symbol tables. Unfortunately, the current SAS documentation does not provide a clear definition of the DOSUBL scoping rules. This presentation presents a series of test cases designed to illustrate DOSUBL’s handling of macro variable scopes. The intended audience is experienced macro programmers interested in learning how DOSUBL manages macro variable scopes.
Agenda: 12:00 Welcome and intro. 12:10 Talk: "A Close Look at How DOSUBL Handles Macro Variable Scope". 13:00 Break. 13:05 Tricks&tips - quarter about coding. 13:20 Ending. Attend the Zoom meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86905632381?pwd=SlhQZ05pQTRJR1kyUlZMNmQ5b1ZZZz09
